Dear Sponsors, Delegates, and Friends of HIMUNC,
On behalf of Henrico High School Model United Nations, I am honored to invite you to the eighth annual Henrico Invitational Model United Nations Conference. The secretariat and I are excited to announce that HIMUNC VIII will be held at Henrico High School on January 24-25, 2025.
Model UN provides students with a unique opportunity to advocate for what they believe in and participate in the development of real-world solutions. It prepares students to become future leaders who are informed, confident, motivated, and enthusiastic. It is not an exaggeration to say that Model UN has transformed Henrico High School delegates into the individuals that we are today. We hope that it encourages other delegates to be resolute, powerful, and confident.
The goal of HIMUNC VIII is to expose delegates to significant global issues, prepare the future generation of diplomats, and inspire an era of young minds to improve the world. Whether it's looking into the emerging new world security threats in the Avengers Civil War, promoting peace through the Olympics, or navigating the bombing of Florence and the role of the Monument Men, delegates will engage in a challenging debate that captures the true essence of Model UN.
The theme of HIMUNC VIII is "Empower Every Voice." We feel that hearing from every delegate is essential for fostering a sense of community and constructive conversation. Throughout the conference, individuals will discuss their committee topics, addressing challenges through empathy and open cooperation. The work of our conference charity, Art 180, matches our idea of concentrating on a neglected area. Art 180 is a non-profit organization that educates individuals on how to utilize their art to solve problems. We must push ourselves to express our thoughts while also creating an environment in which everyone feels included and can participate in a discussion.
We are thrilled to welcome delegates back to the nurturing and challenging environment that allows our delegates to develop important leadership skills. Additionally, HIMUNC VIII will be offering full refunds for cancellations made at least two weeks before the conference date.
